A 'Soviet amphibious light tank', 'Floating Tank – 76', became the standard reconnaissance tank of the Red Army and Warsaw Pact forces. Introduced in the early 1950s, approximately 12,000 were produced and it was widely exported to other countries such as India, Iraq, Syria, North Korea and North Vietnam.
